In Keep-Away Tag mode one player is always tagged - this player is "it". The other players want to avoid the tagged player. Each player has a timer displayed at the top of the screen which indicates how much time they have remaining. When a player's timer runs out, that player is eliminated from the game.

The tag timer

The tagged player is the only player who has an overhead map and can see the locations of the other players. The other players do not have maps, therefore, they do not know where the tagged player is. When the tagged player touches another player, that other player is now "it".
