Introduction and Installation Be sure to check the Aspyr website at http://www.aspyr.com for the very latest information related to Escape from Monkey Island. 1.1 System Requirements CPU: A G3 based PowerMac with a 233 MHz or faster CPU is required. A 333 MHz G3 or faster CPU is recommended. Note: All G4 based computers are faster than a 333MHz G3. Memory: 64 MB RAM required. 96 MB RAM recommended. Graphics Card: A 3D Graphics Hardware with OpenGL Acceleration is required. A minimum of 4MB of VRAM is required (Examples: ATI Rage Pro) 8MB of VRAM or more is recommended (Examples: Rage 128, or Radeon) CD-ROM: An 8x speed CD-ROM drive is required. A 16X speed CD-ROM (or faster) is recommended. Input Devices: The keyboard is the default input device. InputSprocket is also supported. System Software: Escape from Monkey Island supports MacOS 8.1 or later. OSX is NOT recommended as of the writing of this ReadMe file. It is highly recommended that you boot to MacOS Classic (9.1 or later under OSX) before playing this game. OpenGL 1.2.1 is recommended. EFMI may work with older versions, but has not been tested with them. You can get the latest version of OpenGL from Apple's Web Site at . Installation: Small Demo Installation requires approximately 50 MB of free hard drive space. Medium Demo Installation requires approximately 100 MB free hard drive space. Large Demo Installation requires approximately 126 MB free hard drive space. 1.2 Running Escape from Monkey Island Double-click the Escape From Monkey Island application installed to your hard drive (in a folder named Escape From Monkey Island Demo). 2. Controls and Game Play Info 2.1 Default Keyboard Commands Letters are shown as uppercase to make them easier to read here. You donÕt need to hit the shift key in the game when pressing them. Modifier keys are surrounded by < >.
