Installation - Help With Playing

INSTALLATION

Macintosh (OS 9 or OS X)

This StuffIt archive contains the Future Boy! demo, installable on Macintosh (as well as Palm OS and Pocket PC based handheld devices).

You should just be able to double-click the "Play Future Boy! Demo" application icon to start the game. If, for some reason, the game does not start properly, you can start the "Hugo Engine" application and selected "future.hex" from the demo's "game" folder.

Palm (PalmOS 3.5 and higher)

Upload the files "future.pdb" and "palmhugo.prc" to your Palm handheld device. Start the program "Hugo" and select "Future Boy!" from the games list.

Windows CE/Pocket PC (2000 or later)

Run Setup.exe in the Pocket PC folder to install PocketHugo on your device. (Non-Windows users should manually transfer the appropriate .CAB file for the device's processor type (ARM/MIPS/SH3) to the device and open it using File Explorer.) Then, transfer the file "future.hex" from the "game" folder to the device's Documents folder. Launch PocketHugo and select "Future Boy!" from the games list.

Others

If your system is not one of the above-listed supported platforms, you can try downloading the Hugo Engine (version 3.1 or later) for your computer from http://www.generalcoffee.com/hugo/, if a version is available, and use it to run the game file "future.hex". Additionally, a demo package providing support for Windows, Linux, and BeOS, in addition to Macintosh, Palm, and Pocket PC, is also available.

Please note that running Future Boy! on a non-supported system is not guaranteed to work properly, if at all, and is not recommended or supported by The General Coffee Company Film Productions.
