MacAttack

This is a demo version of MacAttack. A new arcade game from GameTek¨ and New Reality Entertainment, Inc. (for ordering information see bottom of page).
This demo will play on any Mac with color quickdraw and can be played in 256, 16 or B&W color modes.

INSTALLATION:
If you are running under System 7.1 or later you should install the new version of the Sound Manager inlcuded in this archive.
Follow the instructions in the file "Sound Manager Read Me" in the "Sound Manager 3.0" folder for installing the new Sound Manager.  You must restart the computer for the new sounds to start working.

TURBO-CHARGE
You will be asked if you want to TurboCharge the game the first time you play.  It is highly recommended that you select to do so.  Turbo charging will make loading levels in the game practically instantaneous and will only add a small amount of memory to your hard disk.  It may take several minutes to TurboCharge the game, but it is worth the wait since you only have to do it once.

     ¥ LARGE SCREEN PLAY --  play using your entire screen on large monitors not a tiny window in the center of the screen.

     ¥ LIGHTNING FAST GAME PLAY --  30 frames/second animation.  This means fast, responsive arcade-action, unlike the typical 8-15 frames/second games on the Mac.

     ¥ DIGITIZED SOUND AND MUSIC

     ¥ RENDERED 3d GRAPHICS


The demo has 3 levels of play (levels 3, 6, and 11) and a several characters from the commercial version of the game which has 30 levels and over a dozen types of enemies to fight. It also has a self-running demo mode. Feel free to give a copy to your friend, your favorite store, or upload it to your favorite board.

LARGE SCREEN PLAY
If you wish to use the entire screen on large monitors just increase the partition size of the program by clicking ONCE on the program and selecting Get Info from the finder menu.


PERFORMANCE
If your playing on an older Mac such as an IILC or a IIsi the detail level will automatically be set to low when the game starts.  If the game still runs slow on your machine try running in 16 colors or Black & White, or reducing the screen size (see above).
