Gorilla Warfare Demo Darwin- We need your help! Our utopian society of Simian City has been taken over by evil robots. Without your help, we'll be forced to become slaves. You'll need to find the pieces of the time map to find Simian City. Hurry though or I'm afraid it may be too late! Our fate lies in your hands! - Uncle Bonzo Ê The Story So Far... The invasion has begun! Only you can save Simian City! You play Darwin, and you just got a postcard from your favorite uncle Bonzo who lives in Simian City. He writes that all the apes have been captured to be slaves and that they need your help to regain control of Simian City. You've always admired your uncle for the adventures he's had, and have always wanted to have some adventures of your own, and it looks like you'll get the chance! But this task won't be easy. In order to get to Simian City, you've got to have a map. And, the map has been broken up into many pieces and has been scattered through time. You must seek out the map pieces in different time periods throughout history, but of course there's going to be plenty of obstacles in your way! Once you get all the pieces you've got to go rescue Simian City and its inhabitants! The legal stuff Gorilla Warfare is commercial quality software at a shareware price. Controlling Darwin Gorilla Warfare uses Input Sprocket to handle the customisation of controls. Click on the "Controls" button on the main screen to set up your preferred keys/joystick. Darwin can walk, run, jump and throw bananas at his enemies. Check the "Help" screen inside the game for information on power-ups and doors. The Enemies Some enemies are stupid, and just walk in straight lines. Others will chase you if they see you. Some monsters drain your energy, while others kill you immediately. We'll let you find out which are which ! If you do get to Simian City, you must kill all the robots. However, try not to hit any controlled apes. They are your friends really (even if they don't behave that way). System Requirements Gorilla Warfare requires a PowerPC MacOS compatible computer (Apple Macintosh or clone) running MacOS 8.0 or higher with 15MB free RAM, although more memory is recommended. Input Sprocket is required. If you get an error on starting Gorilla Warfare, try running the Apple Game Sprockets installer provided. What do I get with the full version ? The Gorilla Warfare demo includes half of the "Lava P'Lava" world. The full version includes five full worlds. It also includes a level editor (which is a complete easy to use application - don't think of the Monkey Shines level editor) so you can design your own worlds. The full version also features an "easy" mode, in case you find Gorilla Warfare too hard. You can save your games (at save zones) in the full version too. Acknowledgements Thanks to Antione Rosset for the 'Player Pro' libraries which play the music in the demo version. Special thanks to Philip Roy for much play testing and sheer enthusiasm.
