WaterRace is an offshore racing game with unique characters, levels and ships, each having their own technical characteristics. Mastering the different ships and levels is an extraordinary challenge. The beauty and the diversity of the circuits located in different parts of the world, and the incredible soundtrack create a thrilling atmosphere. WaterRace was developed using Macs and for the Mac by an brand new and independent team of european developers called "French Touch". They worked during 2 years on this game for free and during their free time, to bring you the best possible and original game for your Mac. The result is finally here, and we hope you will enjoy it! The selected 3 ships showcase especially 3 features regarding the ships: Ą maniability, ease-of-use and driving witht the speedboat, Ą speed with the offshore racer, Ą fun with the Hoovercraft. Minimum recommended system Power Macintosh G3/G4, PowerBook G3, iMac, iBook with at least 6Mb VRAM MacOS 8.5 or later (MacOS 9.0 prefered) 100MB of free hard disk space Optimized for the latest 3D accelerator cards: ATI Rage 128, ATI Radeon, 3Dfx Voodoo3, 3Dfx Voodoo4, 3Dfx Voodoo5, Formac Proformance III+ Important note: Ą 3Dfx Voodoo 2000 to 5500 users, make sure you have at least the 1.1.2 drivers installed (actually, the 1.1.2 drivers do not solve all the problems, so make sure you install the 1.1.3 or later as soon as it is released). Ą ATI Rage 128 and ATI Radeon users, make sure the "ATI Rage 128 3D Accelerator" extension is above 5.9.5 and the "ATI Radeon 3D Accelerator" extension is at least 6.1.5 (you can simply install OpenGL 1.2.1 which contains correct versions of the ATI drivers). Controls To navigate you can use the arrow buttons of your keyboard. (Please note that a ship requires thrust to turn.) The space bar key is used to activate the turbo. If you get stuck or lost, use the Tab-key to restart from the last passed checkpoint. You can also change the camera-views by using the F1 to F5 keys. Change the target ship by using the keys 1-8 at the top of your keyboard. You can change the settings of the controls in the Options menu.
