- Prince, Batdance If you use Mac OS X you probably need more Carbonised or Cocoa-based applications. We can't give you Photoshop, Office or XPress, but we can still make life easier.
These tools are largely Mac OS X-only. Many others on this CD are provided in Carbonised form, for both Mac OS 8/9 and X users. Look out for the red text flashes in the software descriptions. | |  ASM (Application Switcher Menu)
Freeware utility that adds a systemwide menu to the right side of the Mac OS X menu bar. This menu lists all of your open applications, so you can easily switch between them.
 Calindock
Dockling that displays a monthly calendar in the Dock. Users can move forward and backward through the calendar via the Dockling's menu.
 ChangeFileFolderProperties
Allows you to change the attributes of files and folders (ownership, permission like "can read" or "can write," and certain system flags) with a graphical interface instead of the Terminal.
 Clocklet
Flexible alternative to the Clock application bundled by Apple in Mac OS X. For example, you can move this docklet to any part of the dock, customize the background and, do other modifications using the minimal interface.
 Docking Maneuvers
Enable two useful hidden features of the dock; orientation and pinning.
 Drop Drawers
Provides floating drawers on the side of your screen to store text, URLs, aliases, pictures, sounds, movies, and more. Unlike Finder clippings, the actual data is visible in the drawer.
 GifBuilder
A scriptable utility for creating animated GIF files. Handles PICT, GIF, TIFF and even Photoshop files, QuickTime movies, PICS files and Premier filmstrip format files. Transition effects can be inserted between frames.
 iRecall
Simple but powerful way to store your ideas.  Qualcomm Eudora 5.1 beta for Mac OS X
The most powerful email tool around, now in preview release for Mac OS X. Can be run in one of three different modes; Sponsored (all features active, plus a small advertising window), Light (limited features but no adverts), and Paid (full features and no adverts). If you take your email seriously, use Eudora.
 Screenshot Pro
A powerful alternative to "Grab" which makes taking screen shots easy and fast again. ScreenShot Pro first captures a portion of the screen, then quickly saves your screen shot in any of numerous graphics file formats including Adobe Photoshop, JPEG and TIFF. Provides speed, convenience and simplicity.
 Shomi
A fast image display program with as little interface as possible. Just drop things on Shomi, and it will show them to you. Drop several things and it can divide your screen into tiles and show them all at once. When you've seen enough, click the mouse, and Shomi will vanish again.
 Space.dock
Provides up to 16 "virtual workspaces" to help you to organize your use of the desktop (a function similar to one found in the GNOME and KDE desktop management systems). When you open Space.dock, any non-hidden applications will be added to the first desktop. Any applications that you open or switch to will become associated with the desktop that you are using.
 StageGrow
A single-species population modeling application which includes a stage-structured model (up to 5 stages), geometric growth model, exponential growth model and logistic growth model. Stage structured models can compute elasticity and sensativity analyses, and can incorporate environmental stochasticity into the calculations.

 Volume Dockling
Add this Dockling to your dock and gain control over the system volume from your desktop. Features include a Mute button, visual volume feedback on the Dock icon, and improved overall system integration.
 Wipe Creator
Drop files onto it and it will wipe their creator-code, letting them open in the appropriate default OS X application. For example, if you have a lot of GraphicConverter JPEGS and you want them to open in Preview instead, just drop them into Wipe Creator.
 X-Assist
